Easter Motets from Fayrfax to Messiaen

The season of Passiontide has inspired composers throughout the ages to produce some of their most heartfelt and moving works. This Come & Sing is a unique chance to engage with and perform Easter motets spanning 500 years. The works for the day are:
Fayrfax: Seven Last Words
Gesualdo: In Monte Oliveti
Messiaen: O sacrum convivium
Our Musical Director for the day is David Crown, one of the UK's leading choral conductors. A renowned bass himself, David is expert at giving not only excellent musical direction to choirs but also exploring and improving vocal technique. Under his inspired leadership vOx has made a speciality of singing a capella works from the Renaissance to contemporary composers and this is reflected in the three very different pieces at the Come & Sing.
The day begins at 10.00 am and finishes with an informal performance for friends and family at 15.15. We do you'll join us for a rich musical experience
